Basis of Awards
Scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors from Kane County public schools that are homeless or unaccompanied youth entering college. Multiple scholarships will be awarded based on the number of applications received.
Awards are based on financial need, housing status, academic achievement, commitment to community services and school-related activities, demonstration of leadership, recommendations, and an essay.
Application Forms
The application is made available to all interested parties that attend Kane County public schools. The Kane County Regional Office of Education McKinney-Vento Liaison may assist with the disbursement of application forms to students supported by the program.
Notification of Award Recipients
The KEEP Board and/or scholarship committee will review the completed applications and select the recipients. All scholarship applicants will be notified of the selections on May 9, 2025.
Awarding of Scholarship
The $500 or $1,000 scholarship award is issued directly to the higher education institution attended by the recipient to be used for tuition.
